I joined the army reserves in 2006. I was a staunch supported of the Iraq war and raised my hand to go to iraq on day when our unit was asked to produce some manpower. It ended up being out 9-10 months before i started pre-mob. When I got in country I stood a lot of guard duty on our Restricted area , worked ammo , and did Local national worker escort or "Visitor" Control Checkpoint guard. I went outside the wire once and saw enough to say I never want to be back here again fighting for someone else's money.

The demands here seem right on target. However, I would like to read the text of the the UR-Peaceful Investing Initiative" and learn about its history. Also, I'd like to see an humanitarian aid for Gaza campaign in my area (Ithaca and environs), and would like suggestions on which groups/aid agencies we should look at. The twinning with Gaza University and scholarships for Palestinian students are splendid, positive, and practical demands that forge and carry forward a relationship. If it takes a building occupation to bring serious action on these demands, then so be it. I hope the support broadens and this serves as a model on other campuses as well.
